DESCRIPTION:The City of Springfield Planning and Zoning Board and Mayor and City Council will hold public hearings with meetings immediately following close of the public hearings on November 26\, 2024 beginning at 6:00pm. \nPublic hearings will be held to receive comments on the following items: \n\nRequest for Annexation and Rezoning of Parcels 368-5 and 390-1A located at 340 Courthouse Rd consisting of approx. 148 acres and requesting rezoning from Effingham County Zoning of AR-1 to Springfield Zoning of AR-1.\n\n  \n\nRequest for Annexation and Rezoning of Parcels 367-59 located off Pleasant Acres Rd consisting of approx. 177 acres and requesting rezoning from Effingham County Zoning of AR-1 to Springfield Zoning of AR-1.\n\n  \nAny interested parties are encouraged to attend the public hearings to speak for or against these items. Questions can be directed to the Zoning Office at Springfield City Hall by calling (912) 754-7617. \nAll public hearings and meetings will be held in the Springfield Council Room located at 130 S. Laurel Street (located between Springfield City Hall and Springfield Police Department).
