Effingham County Summer Reading Kick-Off
County Manager Tim Callanan would like to share the following community announcement:
As summer begins, I encourage families throughout Effingham County to take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to keep children engaged, learning, and having fun during the break.
The Statesboro Regional Public Libraries Summer Reading Program is back, bringing books, activities, and educational experiences to readers across our community all summer long.
I invite you to join us for the Summer Reading Program Kickoff Event:
Saturday, June 6, 2026
10:00 a.m. – Noon
Clarence E. Morgan Complex
Whether your child is already an avid reader or just beginning to discover the joy of books, the Summer Reading Program is a great way to foster a love of learning and literacy throughout the summer months.
Families can enjoy:
- Games and activities
- Coloring stations
- Bubbles
- Free popsicles
Participants can also earn rewards throughout the summer by taking part in the reading program.
We hope you will join us for this fun-filled morning of reading, learning, and community engagement. We look forward to seeing you there and wish everyone a safe, enjoyable, and enriching summer.
