Public Hearing City Council and Planning & Zoning Board

August 29, 2022, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The City of Springfield Planning and Zoning Board and City of Springfield Mayor and Council will hold public hearings on

August 29, 2022 beginning at 6:00pm to receive comments on the following items:

  1. Request for Annexation and Rezoning of Parcel 429-17 located at 2581 Hwy 21 S. and Parcel 429-16 located at 2553 Hwy 21 S. consisting of approximately 27.88 acres from Effingham County Zoning designation of AR-1 to Springfield Zoning designation of B-1 (for a 3-acre portion of parcel number 429-16) and I-1 (for the remainder of parcel number 429-16 and all of parcel number 429-17).

 

  1. Request for Annexation and Rezoning of Parcel 429A-1D located at 400 Governor Treutlen Drive consisting of approximately 87.16 acres from Effingham County Zoning designation of I-1 to Springfield Zoning designation of I-1.

All public hearings and meetings will be held in the Springfield Council Room located at 130 S. Laurel Street (located between Springfield City Hall and Springfield Police Department).
