Public Notice

The City of Springfield Planning and Zoning Board will hold public hearings with meeting immediately following the close of the public hearings on April 5th, 2021 beginning at 6:00pm.

The City of Springfield Mayor and Council will hold public hearings, with regular meeting immediately following the close of the public hearings on April 13th, 2021 beginning at 6:00pm.

The above mentioned public hearings will be held to receive comments on the following items:

  1. Request for Annexation and Rezoning for Effingham County Parcels:
    367A-57 (County Zoning B-2)
    367-57A (County Zoning AR-1)
    367-57B (County Zoning AR-1)

    Parcels are requesting Springfield zoning designation B-1 and located at 520 W. Third Street

2. Proposed amendment to the City of Springfield Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Section 3.5 General Commercial District to list “Day Care Facilities” as a Conditional Use.

3. Proposed amendment to the City of Springfield Zoning Ordinance to add Section 4.7 – Buffers and Screening.

All public hearings and meetings will be held in the Springfield Council Room located at 130 S. Laurel Street.
