 Sealed bids for construction of Springfield Pediatric Sewer Extension Project will be received until June 20th, 2024, 3 PM at the City of Springfield City Hall at 130 South Laurel Street, Springfield, GA 31329 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following: Sanitary sewerage system extension including, but not limited to, the installation of 720 LF of 8 PVC sewer main, 3 manholes, clearing and grubbing, connecting to an existing sewer system, and miscellaneous construction work. Time allotted for completion of work is ninety (90) calendar days. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are on file at Parker Engineering, LLC. The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as utility contracting in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a Utility Contractor and must also employ a Utility Manager certification holder who will have oversight of all the work. See Instruction to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. Funding is to be provided by the City of Springfield.
