Welcome to our quarterly newsletter

We are excited to bring back the City Newsletter! Quarterly editions will be released and will include information on upcoming events, updates on new policies, updates regarding city services, dates for upcoming meetings and public hearings as well as other topics to help keep our residents better informed.

DID YOU KNOW:
Agendas for Planning Board and City Council are posted on the website once they are published. Find upcoming and past agendas here: www.Springfieldga.org/Agenda-Center

Where can I find the City Newsletter?
Newsletters will be made available at City Hall and will be posted on our facebook page. We will also be uploading all newsletters to the City Website so you can access both past and current editions.
You can find this newsletter and all future ones here:
www.springfieldga.org/newsletter

You can also sign up to receive the City Newsletter by email. Contact City Hall for how to do this.

What is inside?
On the back you will find contact information for our city staff, upcoming city meetings and public hearings, and a list of upcoming events that have been posted to our City Calendar. We would love to list your community event on our calendar! The only requirements are that the event is taking place within the City of Springfield and that it is open to the public.

We also hope to use this newsletter as an opportunity to help keep our community and

residents better informed. We often hear that people are unaware of things happening in the City, or have limited understanding of exactly “how things work” in the City.

With each edition we will provide details about upcoming events such as First Fridays or Fall Festival, or upcoming city projects like the current renovations happening at Ulmer Park, or which roadways are scheduled for resurfacing or have upcoming closures. We might also choose topics that we feel need some explanation, such as permitting, zoning, or trash collection.

If there are other topics you’d like to see addressed in the newsletter please let us know.

There will be a City Hall drop box where you can submit newsletter feedback, or provide topics you’d like to know more about. You can also email     ephillips@springfieldga.org.

Thank you for reading and we will be back for our second edition in April!
